Designated as a Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Cendal is a blend of Syrah & Tempranillo. Bodegas y Viñedos Tavera was established in 2005 by the González López family who have a history rooted in generations of wine growing tradition. In 2005 they built a new wine facility to make, age, bottle & distribute estate wines of the highest quality under the appellations of the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla country wines and D.O. Méntrida. The oldest vines, planted in 1921, are goblet-pruned with a square system of planting, while the more recent vines are trained along trellis wires.
